I just self-published "Still Alive" over at Smashwords.
Here is the summary for the 40k thousand word contemporary fantasy novel.
When Aria ends up in a coma after being attacked, Melody worries that she may never see her twin again. But inexplicably, Aria begins singing in a strange language, even while her brain activity remains flat-lined. The hospital staff discovers that Aria’s unique melodies are healing the other patients and it soon becomes apparent that Aria’s songs are capable of healing any disease on Earth. While Melody just wants her sister back, the medical community is on the verge of finding the Holy Grail of cures in Aria’s otherworldly tunes. Speculation runs rampant on the nature of consciousness and whether Aria is receiving guidance from a higher power on the other side of the veil. Can the medical community discover a way to emulate Aria’s melodic cures before she awakens? If so, the world we know could change forever as disease and illness become a thing of the past.
I've completed about eighty percent of the sequel.
I'm also working on another contemporary fantasy novel that is about ninety percent complete. If I get enough motivation and free time, I should have both completed sometime in March (if we survive Ragnarok in February, lol).
Feel free to leave feedback.
